I am an Associate Professor (with tenure) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, where I lead the Information and Language Processing (ILP) Lab. My research focuses on machine learning for text understanding and generation.
I received my Ph.D. in 2016 from the Computational Linguistics Lab at Georgia Tech, advised by Jacob Eisenstein. From 2016 to 2018, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington, working with Noah Smith.
